2120
bio
Born in the cafés and concert halls of Montréal’s Mile-End, mod-rock trio 2120 has built a strong reputation with their blend of nostalgic psych-pop and soulful R&B grooves. Founded in Sherbrooke in 2015 by brothers Maxime and Gabriel Blackburn, joined by vocalist Billy St-Onge, the band charms with a bold ’70s aesthetic, stage charisma, and sophisticated musicianship.
With a growing fanbase—over 70,000 Instagram followers and 2.2 million TikTok likes—2120 continues to rise on the indie music scene. Their debut album, 2120 In Spectacular Physical Health (2022), produced by Jace Lasek (Arcade Fire, SUUNS), drew critical acclaim, particularly for St-Onge’s vocals, often compared to James Brown and David Bowie. The band quickly moved from small venues to major stages, including the Festival d’été de Québec, while holding a winter residency at Quartier des Spectacles.
In 2024, 2120 ventured into Europe with their first French tour, earning success despite initially limited visibility. Highlights included a gig at Sub Pigalle and sold-out shows in Paris, Lille, Brussels, and Strasbourg, establishing them internationally. Their second album is slated for 2026.
