Amandine & Gédéon
bio
In this playful family musical, siblings Amandine and Gédéon are determined to uncover the surprise their parents have planned. Alongside their quirky friends—Boo, the perpetually scared ghost, and Fiona, the kind-hearted witch—they embark on a creative adventure that shows kids the joy of giving through small, thoughtful gestures.
Behind the scenes is Hubert Maheux, guitarist and producer for Québec artists including Rémi Chassé, Maxime Landry, and Annie Blanchard, presenting his first musical for the whole family. In 2022, during the Rock of Ages production, he connected with several performers who would later join this project. The journey began with the release of the album L’étrange Halloween d’Amandine et de Gédéon in fall 2023. Featuring an exceptional cast—Manuel Tadros, Lunou Zucchini, Joëlle Lanctôt, Tommy Joubert, Matthieu Lévesque, and Guillaume Cyr—the album received significant media attention and found its way into elementary schools across Québec.
Audiences kept asking: “Will we see these characters on stage?” The answer is yes. With great enthusiasm, the live show Amandine et Gédéon : La grande surprise! brings the story to life, featuring an alternating cast including Lunou Zucchini (Star Académie), Matthieu Lévesque (Le Matou), Jordan Donoghue (Les Producteurs), Élise Cormier (Le Magicien d’Oz), and Joëlle Lanctôt (Mary Poppins), who also directs the production.
