Formed in 2016, Montréal-based septet Comment Debord delivers lyric-forward rock with a laid-back, undeniable groove. Drawing inspiration from ’70s music, the band crafts a distinctly Québécois sound that moves fluidly between disco, funk, indie, and folk influences.

Following the release of Comment Debord (2020) and Monde autour (2023), two albums embraced by both critics and audiences, the group earned multiple ADISQ nominations in 2024, including Album of the Year (Critics’ Choice), Pop Album of the Year, and Song of the Year. Their momentum culminated in a standout performance at the MTELUS during Les Francos de Montréal 2025, sharing the bill with Bon Enfant.

Now, Comment Debord is gearing up for a third release, one that promises to be as danceable as it is unifying.
